MarginMath Privacy Policy
MarginMath (“the app”) is a set of pricing calculators: margin and markup, discounts, taxes such as GST, markdowns, break-even and unit price. It is published by iosmantra (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what the app does with information.
The short version: your calculations stay on your device, there are no accounts, and the only outside party involved is Google, which serves the ads.
What stays on your device
- Your calculations. When you tap Save, the calculation is stored on your device so it appears in History. It is never uploaded to me or to anyone else, and deleting a calculation, or deleting the app, removes it.
- Your settings. Your region, currency, number format, default tax rate, units and decimal places are stored on your device. The region is picked from your device’s language and region settings; the app does not use your location.
I do not run a server for the app, and I do not collect, receive or sell your calculations, settings or any personal information.
No accounts, no analytics
The app has no sign-in. It does not include analytics or crash-reporting tools.
Ads
MarginMath is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob, using Google’s Mobile Ads SDK. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect and use:
- your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking,
- your IP address and general device and app information (such as device model, operating system version and app version),
- how you interact with ads.
Google acts on its own account for this data. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Tracking. On iOS the app asks whether it may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. If you say no, ads are still shown, but they are not personalised using your advertising identifier. You can change this any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, or reset your advertising identifier in the same place.
- Consent. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent to ads using Google’s User Messaging Platform. You can review or change your choice at any time from Settings › Privacy options inside the app.
- Limit ad tracking. You can also turn off personalised ads in iOS settings.
Feedback and support
If you email me, I receive the address you write from and whatever you put in the message. I use it only to reply and to fix the problem you raised, and I do not share it.
Rating prompt
The app may ask you to rate it using Apple’s own rating prompt. Apple handles it; I do not see whether or how you respond.
Children
MarginMath is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not ask for any.
Your rights
Because I do not collect or hold your personal information, there is nothing for me to access, correct or delete on my side. For the data Google processes, you can use the choices above and Google’s own controls. If you are in a region with privacy rights (such as the EEA, the UK or California), you can also contact me with any question and I will answer it.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example by adding a new service, I will update this policy and its effective date before the change ships.
